BAOIA has been providing excellent scientific and cultural programmes for almost 20 years. As Anaesthetists we are a specialised breed who mostly work alone and after work get busy with family time. Coming from East, although we harbour a different culture and genetic composition, we have integrated well within the NHS. We have been calling everyone as member who attended the ASM as a result we have very high attrition rate.

Being the biggest specialty in secondary and tertiary care, the membership makes offers us an opportunity to be cohesive, inclusive and tenacious as a group. To move forward in solidarity, therefore, we as an organisation invite you all anaesthetists of Indian origin to become members.

The registered members will have access to following:

1. Members will have voting rights
2. To nominate and select the Executive Committee of the BAOIA
3. To select various working group heads
4. Free or subsidized webinars and CPD activities throughout the year
5. Subsidized ASM
6. Phone a friend service for members in difficulty/ distress with a call back in 24Hours
7. Free access to pastoral support by senior members
8. Free independent legal advice sought at the earliest opportunity to guide through the different support agencies
9. Opportunity to network with colleagues nationally and internationally through The Anaesthetist (Facebook Group)
10. Opportunity in get involved in Charitable work in remote parts of India through networking
